Delhi - Jaipur - Delhi

Trip Captain

Jaipur, the capital city of the Indian state of Rajasthan, is referred to as the Pink City. It is one of India's most popular tourist sites, with a rich history, culture, and gorgeous architecture. The city is known as the Pink City because of the pink-colored buildings in the old part of town that were painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales in 1876.

Many magnificent structures may be found in Jaipur, including the Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort, and Jaigarh Fort. The Amer Fort is situated on a hill and provides stunning views of the surrounding hills and lakes. It is a Rajput architectural marvel known for its elaborate carvings and magnificent gardens.

There are also other palaces in the city, notably the City Palace, a complex of palaces, gardens, and courtyards. Its architecture is a fusion of Rajput and Mughal styles, and it is noted for its magnificent artwork, murals, and paintings. The palace has various museums that reflect Rajasthan's rich history and culture.

The Hawa Mahal, a five-story palace with 953 tiny windows, is another prominent tourist site in Jaipur. Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built the palace in 1799, and it is known for its unusual design and spectacular views of the city.

Jaipur is also known for its vibrant bazaars, which sell a variety of handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, and other goods. The bazaars are an excellent location to learn about Rajasthani culture and food.

The city also hosts a number of festivals and events, including the Jaipur Literary Festival, which is one of the world's major literary festivals. Other events in Jaipur include the Elephant Festival, Teej Festival, and Gangaur Festival.
