The state is dotted with monasteries, temples, and historical sites. Tawang Monastery, one of the largest in Asia, is a significant Buddhist center. The 400-year-old Tawang Gompa, perched on a hilltop, is a major pilgrimage site. Additionally, the state has ancient archaeological sites like Malinithan and Bhismaknagar that offer glimpses into its historical past.

Arunachal Pradesh holds strategic importance due to its proximity to international borders with China and Myanmar. The region has seen infrastructural developments aimed at improving connectivity, but it has also been a point of contention between India and China regarding territorial claims.

The state is increasingly gaining attention from adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. The breathtaking landscapes, trekking trails, and opportunities for eco-tourism make Arunachal Pradesh a unique destination. The Sela Pass, Dirang Valley, and Namdapha National Park are among the natural wonders that attract visitors.
